San Francisco Opera

San Francisco Opera partners with CUSD in a program called Opera Together, in which SFO provides materials related to a particular opera for fourth and fifth-graders to study and perform. On performance day, three singers from the San Francisco Opera spend the day at the school, directing a dress rehearsal with the fourth and fifth graders and then performing the Opera at a school-wide assembly, with the students taking the side and ensemble parts and the professional singers singing the leads.
