Career & Technical Education
Half Moon Bay High School offers a variety of Career & Technical Education courses with opportunities for students to develop knowledge and leadership skills through hands-on experiences. Building Trades and Construction is a part of the Career Technical Education (CTE) pathway, supporting students' journey from the classroom to the workplace in a fast-growing career. The curriculum is designed to provide students with a varied background in the use of tools, machines, and materials. Courses offered include Introduction to Building and Construction Trades and Intermediate Cabinetry, Millwork, and Wood.The Career Technical Education (CTE) Agriscience Pathway includes the following courses: Agriculture Earth Science (Introductory level), Agri-Biology and Agri-Chemistry (Concentrator level), Advanced Agriscience Honors (Capstone/Honors level), and Agriculture Communications & Leadership (Elective). All students at HMBHS must complete Agri-Biology or Biology, and Agriculture Earth Science, Agri-Chemistry, Earth Science, or Chemistry to graduate.
